On Saturday, May 17, 2025, we held our 6th Annual What the Duck? Rubber Duck Race at Stoney Ridge Winery. Proceeds from this fundraiser benefited Sarah's Friends and our efforts supporting victims of domestic violence and other crimes in Williams County, Ohio.

280 ducks were “adopted”, and $1,200 in sponsorships were received resulting in over $3,000 being raised to go towards our programs and services. To watch the recorded race, please visit : https://www.facebook.com/SarahsFriendsofWilliamsCounty/videos/4174434492843645
Despite the chilly weather, this year's What the Duck? Race brought a gust of excitement-literally! Our ducks zipped across the pond in record time thanks to the strong winds, making this year's race much shorter than last year's. Three determined ducks quickly pulled ahead as the clear front runners. We're convinced they've been hitting the gym all year in preparation! It was a fun and breezy day filled with laughter, cheers, and plenty of ducky determination.
Reaching the finish line first was our 2025 lucky duck #236, who provided their donor with a $250 cash prize, which they generously donated back! Thank you so much for your generosity!

A big thank you to Stoney Ridge Winery for being gracious enough to host our event again this year and for your ongoing support and generosity with your donation of proceeds from food and drink sales! Scott Pollick and Paul Beasly provided not only amazing vocals throughout the event, but also assisted greatly in helping us with event announcements and participation encouragement! The event resulted in a great turnout at the venue, including many onlookers during the race itself.
From the bottom of our hearts, we extend our sincerest gratitude to our incredible Duck Race sponsors and participants! Your generous support has made this event possible and has helped uplift survivors of domestic violence and other crimes in Williams County. Thank you for being champions of change and for making a difference in our community. Together, we're creating a brighter, safer future for all!
